Robert Fripp's Diary

At on this day years

01.09
At 06.15 on this day 54 years ago, in Bear Cross Nursing Home (midway between Wimborne Minster and Bournemouth), my parents Arthur and Edie acquired a son; and my sister Patricia acquired a brother who was one year, one month, two days, twelve and a half hours younger than herself.

On this day 14 years ago my wife Toyah acquired a husband. I have written little in this Diary of the Little Horse since I've been in Nashville. This is because of the depth of loss I am experiencing at being away from her for so much during recent months. And this week I am missing our two birthdays & wedding anniversary. Ouch.

I've stayed up to telephone her in Glasgow and thank her for marrying me. In return Toyah wished me a happy birthday. Now, a happy boy, I can go to bed.

Also on this day 14 years ago completion of the purchase of Red Lion House in Cranborne, Dorset, went through. Toyah & I were married in Witchampton Church during the afternoon; during the morning I went out to look around the base of Guitar Craft activities in England for the next 3 years.
